Lac Henri property

The Lac Henri property is situated approximately 350 km northeast of Chibougamau in the Otish Mountain region of Quebec. The property consists of 65 claim cells covering a total area of 3,435 hectares (34.35 km2). Prospecting programs and subsequent laboratory analysis of outcrop samples taken from the north-eastern zone of the property revealed significant values in rare earth elements within Archean granitic gneiss and altered quartz-feldspar-biotite granite.

The Lac Henri property is totally underlain by highly folded basement rocks of the Archean Superior Province Epervanche Complex composed of a quartz-biotite-feldspar gneiss with a migmatite complex intruded by younger granites and pegmatites. The south border of the property is situated at approximately two kilometres from the western edge of the Proterozoic Sedimentary Otish basin.

In 2007, Icon Industries completed a ground prospecting and reconnaissance program followed, in 2008,  by a drill program for uranium exploration. In 2009, prospection has been undergone on an airborne uranium anomaly in the NE sector of the property. Five samples taken from a white to pink “nudular” granite and a rusty quartz-feldspar-biotite granite, on a narrow stripped zone of 50m2, returned interesting rare earth assay results up to 0.95% Ce, up to 0.57% La, up to 0.24% Nd and up to 0.21% Y. Additional samples were taken by Ditem from the mineralized zone and sent for analysis, which should be received shortly.
